Friday Eye Candy
Haven’t had an “Eye Candy” post in awhile. So here ya go!
All images from Refinery29.
This Eye Candy edition is specifically Milan Street style. I love European style sooo much! It’s so effortlessly chic and fabulous. The messy, un-done hair paired with simple statement pieces, definitely makes European styles my favorite.
Happy Friday!
Pattern Play
Dress: Brandy Melville + Boots: Steve Madden + Purse: Rebecca Minkoff + Necklace: H&M
When you browse through my closest, you will quickly learn that I own a lot of stripes. It’s just easy, effortless, and such a classic pattern. What I also love about it is the fact that you can totally do some pattern play with it. Plaid is another pattern that I do adore. Black & white stripes, in particular, and plaid compliment each other very well. The key here is to make sure one pattern is more subdued than the other. The last thing you want to do is mix a thick stripe ensemble with huge plaid patterns.
This Brandy Melville striped dress was a must-have the minute I laid eyes on it. So comfy and chill. Definitely a day to night dress. The stripes were thin enough to easily pair it with my plaid top. For a different pattern play, this would also look good with a camouflage jacket. With summer slowly coming to an end, try incorporating new patterns to mix and match with in the fall.
Best pick-me-upper? BOBA! We LOVE boba. If you are ever craving some and in the Millbrae area, check out Eggettes!
Summer Tie Dye
Hat: Urban Outfitters
Dress: Boutique from Bali – cute ones here, here, and here
Shoes: Vince Camuto
It’s been a minute since I’ve gotten the chance to post on the blog. Summer has been keeping me a busy bee lately, so my apologies for my hiatus! I just got back from an AH-MAZING trip to Thailand and Bali. It was THE BEST experience ever. Stay tuned for more posts and pictures from all my Thailand and Indonesia adventures.
During my stay at Bali, I scored this awesome tie dye dress from a boutique. The style and cut was so cute that I just had to buy it. Shopping was amazing in Bali. I also got to to hit up a couple of fabric stores during my stay, which I was so excited about. I can’t wait to share with you some pictures from my trip!
It’s been crazy hot lately here in SoCal, so this flowy dress was an ideal summer outfit. Perfect for a day to night look as well by simply changing from cute sandals to fun wedges or heels for your night look.
Happy Friday Everyone! Cheers to the weeeeeeekend!
Coachella 2014
View from our Villa in Palm Springs. I could totally get used to waking up every morning to this. A quick snap shot of the view inside the festival. There were tons of people! Perfect place to people watch and see amazing festival style 🙂Day One, I opted to go with my Kate Spade Saturday shorts. The print just gave me a Coachella/desert vibe. Necklace is from TopShop and my boots are from Seychelles. One thing I learned from going to Coachella, is always were boots or closed toe shoes because it gets so dirty and dusty. Plus, they are more comfortable for running and dancing around all day & night, which I know I for sure did! So much fun! Day Two, I was channeling my inner boho and wore a super flowly and comfortable dress from Free People. I love this airy dress and will defintely be on repeat throughout the summer. I also wanted to be festive and made my own DIY rose flower crown. Why not? Day Three, kept it chill with denim cutoffs and a crop top. Probably a staple for a lot of girls this summer.
Overall, I hands down had one of the BEST weekends ever at Coachella 2014. It was an experience of a lifetime with wonderful friends, great music, pool parties, beats, 1,000+ pictures, ridiculous video, and sunshine for days. I’m still actually undergoing Coachella withdrawals. I tend to find myself jamming to music and randomly dancing. If you haven’t been to this festival, I highly recommend giving it a try at least once. This was a last minute excursion for me, and it was the best idea ever. Till next year Coachella!

Happy New Year friends! A new year brings the opportunities to meet new people, go on great adventures, make unforgettable memories, learn from experiences, accomplish goals, try new things, and be a better YOU each day. Cheers to an awesome 2014!
I was super excited to have my 7 month preggo sister in town for the past 9 days! Felt good to just hang out together again like the good ‘ol days. Another reason why I am super excited about the new year, is due to the fact I will be an Auntie soon! Words cannot express how much I am looking forward to be the most fabulous Aunt in town. My nephew is going to be one lucky, spoiled, and of course stylish guy!

From Christy: We are so excited to share another round of these dope photos taken by our lovely friend Ellie from Storyboxcollection. Here is our first post of the amazing photography by Ellie at powder canyon park. This time around my sister and I decided to channel our inner boho chic and go for a more free-spirited vibe. I absolutely love long flowy dresses and obsessed with the color mint, one of my favorite colors. They are easy, breezy, and you can dress them up or down effortlessly.
You can easily take you favorite spring/summer dress and wear it for fall by just adding a leather jacket or a chunky knit cardigan and some booties. Throw on some tights or leggings too if you need extra warmth for your legs. And how amazing is my sisters floral kimono? So fun! I always have a great ‘ol time being silly and goofy with my sister, it’s what we do best. ..and I MISS her terribly!
From Leah: We took these shots right before I made the big move to the midwest. I always have a blast with my sister. As you can tell, I don’t like being on camera. I’m usually the person behind the scenes, so trying to model or even pose is hilarious to me. I tried…I seriously just followed what my sister does and laugh hysterically moments right after. Thanks to Ellie for baring with me! HAHA! My sister can always make me laugh. Writing this post really makes me miss her. I love these pictures because it takes me back at the moment…with my sister in CA.
Cali Cool
Silk blouse: Madewell, similar here
Denim cutoff shorts: Vintage Levi’s, similar here
Chunky Heel Shoe: Steve Madden
Rings: RLRB collection
I love the effortless look of a silk blouse. You can easily wear it for any occasion – at the office, at a nice dinner date, out shopping, brunch with the girls, the list goes on and on. Silk blouses are so easy to dress up with a pencil skirt and nice peep-toe heels, or dress down like what I did here with your favorite denim cutoffs. There’s definitely a “Cali-Cool” yet polished vibe from silk blouses. I’m slowly building up my collection with basic colors and fun printed ones. I scored this fun printed blouse during a sale at Madewell.
This past weekend was perfect. Amazing weather, great company, and I indulged myself with bomb.com food! Hope you all had a great one as well!
